John Trast is a Vice President and Senior Waste Management Leader at GEI Consultants, Inc.  He has over 30 years of professional experience specializing in geotechnical engineering, solid waste management, environmental dredging, and geosynthetics.  His experience includes design, construction, operation, and closure of industrial landfills and dredging, dewatering, and disposal of contaminated sediments. He is a licensed professional engineer in 19 states and a distinguished alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Madison having earned both BS and MS degrees in Civil and Environmental Engineering.
