Egidio Tentori

Gradient

Dr. Egidio Tentori is a senior environmental engineer at Gradient with experience in contaminant fate and transport, source identification, site characterization, groundwater hydrology, and applied microbiology. Dr. Tentori has provided technical support on a range of projects nationwide, including litigation support and remedial solutions at chemical and petrochemical facilities, industrial landfills, and former manufactured gas plants (MGPs) for a wide variety of contaminants, including hydrocarbons, chlorinated solvents, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), and emerging contaminants (ECs) including per- and polyfluoroalkyl substances (PFAS). Dr. Tentori obtained his BS and MS in environmental engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) and his PhD in environmental engineering from Cornell University. Prior to joining Gradient, Dr. Tentori was a graduate research assistant at Cornell University, where he studied links between microbial greenhouse gas cycling and key microbial biomarker genes, and methane and nitrogen removal from wastewater. In addition to his applied microbiology background, Dr. Tentori also has a background in advanced oxidation processes (AOPs) including treatment of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), and experience in fieldwork and environmental sampling techniques.
