Dr. Brian Mastin (Ph.D. in Environmental Toxicology, Clemson University 2004) is a program manager and principal sediment toxicologist with 28 years of boots-on-the-berm experience in the fields of watershed remediation, sediment dredging and dewatering management and ecotoxicology. Leading and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, Dr. Mastin has investigated, designed and/or managed 100’s of remediation projects for contaminated sediment of 15 CERCLA sites as well as for Federal, municipal and industrial clients across four continents. For example, Dr. Mastin is/was the Program Manager and/or Design Lead for several project sites including but not limited to Superior Slips in the St. Louis River AOC (Wisconsin DNR), Bayou Chico, Pensacola FL (Escambia County, FL), Kirkwood Lake Reservoir CERCLA Site (Sherwin Williams), OU2 Standard Chlorine of Delaware CERCLA Site (USEPA) and Lake Bonnet Reservoir Remediation (City of Lakeland, FL). Brian has more than 25 publications in the areas of dredging and sediment management and environmental ecotoxicology and has presented more than 50 papers at national and international conferences and working groups.
